We’re excited to announce an upcoming event that aims to uplift and address the concerns of the LGBTQ+ streaming community. In just a few weeks, we’ll be hosting a streamer townhall titled “Beyond the Camera: Empowering LGBTQ+ Voices,” where we dive into the issues impacting LGBTQ_ streamers and work together to find solutions.
The streaming community is a world with different beliefs and ideologies, but it’s not often met with challenges. LGBTQ streamers often face unique obstacles, from online harassment and discrimination to a lack of representation and support. We must create a space where these voices are heard, respected and empowered.
The townhall will serve as a platform for open and honest dialogue. We’ll focus on various topics, including representation in gaming and navigating online spaces safely. We believe by coming together to share experiences and insights, we can create a positive change for the community.
But we can’t do it alone. We’re currently looking for guests to speak at the Townhall—individuals who are passionate about LGBTQ+ representation in gaming and streaming, and who have valuable perspectives and experiences to share.
