Well, there have been plenty of things going on about Dreamhack Dallas, and as someone there, let me say this. The event was PACKED. A lot was going on and a lot of walking. Met a lot of new and old faces. Oceansgatsby and dbzwarriorfc, put on an amazing Latinx event! I enjoyed myself and love those two!
Dubzmusic and Uhmaayze put on an amazing show on the main stage Now because I got there late and was tied up in the Latinx event I missed their performance but I saw the video and they killed it! and the American Sign Language guys did the damn thing! Grym was also on the main stage doing his thing! I had the pleasure of actually talking to him and he is such a nice guy and one who does not mind talking to people.
I personally love it when people are not big-headed and talk to anybody. You had sooo many big streamers as well as smaller ones there just vibing with everyone. Wittlebears and BBJess were there, and talking to everyone, and just having fun. when I say you should go to these cons I mean it. I really made deeper bonds at Dreamhack and Midwest Fest and needless to say, you will see me there. Now as far as the afterparty goes, it was fun until about 11pm.
The establishment itself decided they wanted to start letting the public in and it got weird. there were some people who were victims of being drugged. Men and women.
Fortunately, I was not one but I do know a few that were. I will say respect the privacy of those who come forth about it. Don’t make people feel some type of way for what they went through because it can happen to anybody. and protect your friends and your drinks.
I hate leaving my drinks or anything unattended for that reason. Pay attention to your surroundings no matter if it’s new or old. and also a lot of these establishments need to be more aware of what is going on because I feel it could have been prevented. and do not place blame on Sonicboombox. He had nothing to do with how the event turned out and it definitely was not a favoritism thing like some said. it was the venue.
